Site Accountant for Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Accountant to manage financial operations for construction projects at our Giza location. The role involves handling contractor and subcontractor transactions, site expenses, and preparing payment certificates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all accounting activities related to the project site, including verification of quantities, prices, and supporting documents.
• Prepare, review, and follow up on contractors’ and subcontractors’ payment certificates, invoices, and material supply records.
• Reconcile contractor accounts, monitor site expenses, petty cash, and ensure proper documentation in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Procurement, Quantity Surveyors, Store/Warehouse, and Head Office Finance on financial and contractual matters.
• Prepare regular financial reports, support month‑end closing, and maintain organized records for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project‑based environments.
• Proven experience handling contractors’/subcontractors’ accounts and payment certificates.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Very good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (preferred).
