Site Engineer - Cairo

About the role

The Civil Site Engineer will manage daily construction activities on a Cairo‑based project, ensuring that all works follow approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety rules and the project schedule. Acting as the bridge between the technical office, contractors, consultants and the on‑site workforce, the role is essential for smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil works such as excavation, foundations, concrete, formwork and finishing.
• Verify that all activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and the construction programme.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and site staff to keep progress on track.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of materials and workmanship.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports for the Senior/Team Leader Engineer.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and propose on‑site solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Support quantity verification, BOQ preparation, material take‑offs and site measurements.
• Review and interpret construction and shop drawings, keeping them up‑to‑date.
• Monitor site logistics, equipment and manpower availability.
• Participate in site meetings and maintain accurate records of deliveries, progress and inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in civil site engineering within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with site safety practices and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with MS Project.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
