Social Policy & Child Rights Monitoring Internship – Cairo

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a motivated intern to support its Social Policy and Child Rights Monitoring (SPCRM) team in Cairo. The placement lasts six weeks and offers hands‑on experience in research, data analysis, and communication within a leading global child‑rights organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing research papers and reviewing evidence documents.
• Analyze and visualize primary and secondary data sets.
• Support the creation of communication materials, including social media posts and dissemination briefs.
• Contribute to programming aimed at improving social protection for vulnerable children.
• Help coordinate knowledge‑sharing events with academic partners and SPCRM collaborators.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Economics, Political Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong academic record demonstrated by recent transcripts.
• Fluent Arabic and proficient in English (or French/Spanish).
• Egyptian or international candidates eligible to apply.
