About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a passionate Social Studies Teacher to join its teaching team for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role focuses on delivering engaging, student‑centered lessons in history, geography, civics and broader social issues, fostering critical thinking and cultural awareness among a diverse secondary‑school cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Social Studies lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, interactive classroom environment that encourages discussion and inquiry.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote extracurricular activities related to social studies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate curriculum and share best practices.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding student development.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with educational trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Social Studies at the secondary level (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of history, geography and civics content.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to creating a supportive learning environment and continuous professional growth.
