Software Developer – Engineering Support Manager

About the role

PwC is looking for a senior Software Developer to lead engineering support for its API portfolio. You will design, build and maintain scalable services that enable digital transformation for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements with technical and architectural stakeholders and produce high‑level solution designs.
• Create detailed technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Develop, test and document REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Validate implementations with Postman and ensure compliance with performance and security standards.
• Provide expert design and engineering support for internal and external developers using the API portfolio.
• Contribute to continuous service‑improvement initiatives and maintain API micro‑service architecture.
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet AWS best practices, performance and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience building reliable, scalable services/platforms.
• Proven ability to conduct requirement analysis and produce technical architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with REST API development, OpenAPI, and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud‑native design.
• German language skills are a plus.
