Software Developer - Engineering Support (Node.js)

About the role

PwC's Advisory line of service in Cairo is looking for a Software Developer - Engineering Support (Senior Associate) with expertise in Node.js. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and enhancing web applications across frontend and backend technologies, working with designers, developers and stakeholders to deliver high-performance, scalable and user-friendly solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements with stakeholders (technical and architectural focus).
• Create high-level design and technical architecture aligned with best practices and compliance.
• Write technical user stories with acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Refine specifications, track implementation and test it against acceptance criteria using Postman.
• Provide expert engineering support for the delivery of an API portfolio by internal and external developers.
• Design, implement and test the architecture for API microservices.
• Ensure infrastructure components meet performance and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement for business services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (essential).
• 5+ years of solid experience building and maintaining reliable, scalable services and platforms.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications is a must.
• German is a big plus.
