Software DevOps Engineer

About the role

VOIS, the strategic arm of Vodafone Group, is seeking a Software DevOps Engineer to design, automate and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work across multiple locations, collaborating with development, QA and operations teams to ensure fast, reliable and secure software releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Automate manual processes and workflows to improve efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manage and optimise cloud environments, primarily AWS, and support Kubernetes (EKS) clusters.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability with observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and support incident, change and deployment management.
• Ensure security, compliance and DevSecOps best practices are applied.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Solid understanding of observability and monitoring solutions.
• Experience with containerised environments and Kubernetes (EKS or similar).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Good scripting and automation skills.
• Familiarity with incident response and production support.
