Software Engineer - Cloud Microservices Developer

About the role

Join Siemens Digital Industries Software to help transform the Capital suite into a cloud‑native, SaaS‑ready solution. You will work with a global, distributed team to redesign a monolithic on‑premise product into modular microservices that support automotive and aerospace electrical distribution system design.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in product definition, planning and task estimation.
• Deliver committed features on schedule while maintaining high quality.
• Continuously improve architecture, infrastructure, processes and team skills.
• Collaborate with product owners, frontend and backend teams to shape modularization and microservice requirements.
• Transform the existing monolithic application into a cloud‑based microservice architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience in an agile environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a globally distributed, multicultural team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Core Java programming.
• Design and implementation of microservices.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and SaaS concepts.
• Object‑oriented design, SOLID principles and modular design.
• Writing unit tests and applying automated testing approaches.
• Agile development practices.
