Software Engineer, Power

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our power‑train team. You will develop safety‑critical embedded software for high‑voltage automotive components, applying modern AI tools to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Debug complex hardware/software issues using AI‑assisted and traditional techniques.
• Design, implement, and test Embedded C code for microcontrollers, including BSW, HAL, and low‑level drivers (ADC, PWM, SPI, CAN, LIN).
• Translate control laws and physical constraints into efficient code for inverters, DC‑DC converters, BMS, thermal management, and smart actuators.
• Leverage Generative AI, Agentic AI, and LLM fundamentals to automate routine engineering tasks.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and MISRA C standards.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers to optimise system‑level performance.
• Maintain high code quality, documentation, and testing while meeting personal and team KPIs.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide regular status reports.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in embedded software development (internships or academic projects count).
• Strong interest and experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and LLM technologies.
• Understanding of power electronics, electric motors, and basic control theory.
• Familiarity with Simulink/MATLAB for modelling and control‑law development.
