Solution Architect – Radio Access Network (RAN)

About the role

Join Ericsson's Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) within the Cloud Software and Services business area. As a Solution Architect you will focus on Radio Access Network (RAN) and End‑to‑End Network Design and Optimization (NDO) for a global portfolio of mobile network projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced NDO services, including benchmarking, new‑technology optimization and multi‑vendor network optimization.
• Analyze network data to propose solutions that improve capacity, functionality and end‑user experience.
• Support technical presentations, proposals and ongoing project development.
• Engage with customer technical teams and senior stakeholders to guide technical discussions.
• Contribute ideas to expand the NDO service portfolio and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or IT.
• 12+ years of experience in the ICT industry, preferably with service delivery and pre‑sales exposure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior audiences.
• Willingness to travel globally as required.

Required skills

• Radio Access Network (RAN) concepts, radio interface, features, algorithms and parameters.
• Hands‑on expertise with 4G, 5G NSA/SA, VoNR, Mobile Broadband (MBB), Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), RAN Sharing/MOCN.
• Experience in Machine Learning/AI for NDO and Cloud‑RAN solutions.
• End‑to‑End network services covering devices, RAN, Transport and Packet Core.
• Data analytics and statistical analysis tools for network performance improvement.
• Knowledge of Ericsson equipment and features (advantage).
