Sourcing Executive

About the role

Bekia is building the future of waste management in Egypt and Africa with a technology‑enabled, asset‑light model. We are seeking a Sourcing Executive to join our Wholesale team and take ownership of sourcing recyclable materials through a strong network of scrap traders, warehouses, and suppliers. The role is highly field‑oriented, requiring frequent market visits and relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with scrap traders, warehouses, and material sources.
• Conduct regular field visits to markets and suppliers to source plastics, cardboard, metals, e‑waste and other recyclables.
• Collect material samples, assess quality with the Wholesale team, and negotiate prices, quantities and payment terms.
• Monitor market prices, maintain accurate supplier records, and provide market intelligence.
• Coordinate with Wholesale, Operations and Logistics teams to execute sourcing activities and meet volume targets.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, wholesale, trading or the recycling/scrap industry.
• Proven ability to work independently in the field, building trust with traders and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercial mindset with focus on prices, margins, volumes and material quality.
