Sourcing Section Head – Strategic Procurement Lead

About the role

The Sourcing Section Head leads the strategic sourcing function, building and managing a reliable supplier network to support the company’s manufacturing and R&D activities. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures cost‑effective procurement while driving innovation and supplier performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers to maintain a competitive and sustainable supply base.
• Collaborate with R&D to introduce new Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and product samples.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D and Quality Control to monitor trial results and provide timely feedback.
• Lead negotiations for long‑term contracts, securing favorable commercial terms.
• Implement strategic sourcing methodologies, including spend‑pool optimization and comprehensive spend analysis.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives with measurable ROI and report results.
• Strengthen supplier relationships and promote high‑performing vendors.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) for sourcing processes, reporting and supplier data management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain, preferably within a chemical or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and operational teams.
