Sr Budget & Controlling Specialist

About the role

The Senior Budget & Controlling Specialist will support the Finance Directorate of RATP Dev Mobility Cairo by managing budgets, providing financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. This role combines strategic forecasting with day‑to‑day budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s direct and indirect budget process, from projection to review.
• Prepare and present variance analyses comparing actual results with forecasts.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to guarantee accurate monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Perform financial forecasting, operational metric tracking, and long‑/short‑term financial planning.
• Validate budgets for purchase requests, orders, and hiring requisitions.
• Monitor costs, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist the FP&A Manager with forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Develop and implement reporting policies and procedures to meet operational needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting; FMVA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 5‑7 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment, preferably electromechanical industries.
• 2‑5 years of dedicated experience in budgeting and controlling.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and professional communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Power BI and data modelling.
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics budget modules are a plus.
• Excellent command of English.
