About the role
Floortec is seeking a skilled Steel Detailing Engineer to prepare and verify shop drawings and 3D models for structural steel projects in Sheikh Zayed, Giza.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare steel shop drawings (GAD, assembly, single part) based on received IFC drawings/models.
- Create and maintain the project Tekla model, raising queries to senior detailers as needed.
- Compare the Tekla model with IFC drawings/models to ensure 100% match.
- Coordinate with the in‑house design team to resolve upcoming issues.
- Generate project reports to support other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in steel detailing, preferably in Pre‑Engineered Buildings (PEB).
- Strong understanding of steel construction principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
