STEM & Robotics Early Years Teacher

About the role

GEMS Academy Alexandria is seeking a full‑time, on‑site STEM and Robotics Early Years educator. You will create hands‑on, age‑appropriate learning experiences that introduce young learners to basic STEM concepts and foundational robotics skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging STEM and robotics lessons for early‑years students.
• Integrate STEM activities into the broader early‑years curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom that encourages curiosity and problem‑solving.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt activities for diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in school events and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in early‑years STEM education.
• Experience with introductory robotics and coding tools suitable for children.
• Strong classroom management and child‑centered pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, a STEM‑related field, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior teaching experience with early‑years or primary‑age students, preferably in an international or bilingual environment.
• Ability to support inclusive education and differentiate instruction.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or French is an advantage.
