Steward – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Steward will ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's dishwashing and buffet support areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency for guests and staff at Rixos Premium Seagate.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, pull, stack cleaned items and return soiled items for re‑scrubbing.
• Monitor water temperature and chemical levels, run the dishwashing machine and complete required documentation.
• Store clean wares in designated areas and maintain the dishwasher (cleaning, unclogging spray arms, outer surfaces).
• Troubleshoot dishwasher malfunctions and adjust washing cycles as needed.
• Coordinate duties across all shifts, monitor buffet preparation equipment and hand over to buffet attendants.
• Assist senior staff, control employee entry/exit and break times, and handle junior requests.
• Manage garbage collection, participate in Emergency Response Teams and implement energy‑saving measures.
• Apply waste‑reduction practices and uphold quality and food‑safety management systems.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum primary school diploma.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, or 1 year in a lower position with demonstrated competence.
• Prior training in related hospitality or stewarding fields.
• Basic computer literacy.
• No foreign language requirement.
