Stock Controller – Retail Industry

About the role

The Stock Controller will oversee inventory across retail stores and the warehouse, ensuring stock levels match sales demand while minimizing losses. This position works closely with merchandising, logistics and finance teams to keep inventory data accurate and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage stock levels across all retail locations and the central warehouse.
• Perform regular stock counts, investigate variances and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate stock transfers between stores, warehouse and production units.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory using the ERP system.
• Support merchandising and retail teams with timely stock updates.
• Prepare stock reports and analyse turnover rates to optimise inventory.
• Ensure loss‑prevention measures are followed in all handling processes.
• Collaborate with logistics, warehouse and finance teams to guarantee data accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in stock control, inventory or warehouse operations, preferably in fashion retail.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock reconciliation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills.
