Structural BIM Section Head

About the role

The Structural BIM Section Head is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Qesm 1st 6 October. You will lead the structural BIM team, oversee the creation and coordination of BIM models, and ensure all deliverables meet project standards, codes, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BIM workflows, assign tasks, and review team outputs.
• Resolve design and coordination issues across disciplines.
• Integrate structural models with architectural, MEP, and civil models.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and support project planning, cost control, and construction sequencing.
• Mentor team members, drive process improvements, and contribute to quality assurance and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading BIM teams on large commercial construction projects.
• Proven project and construction management expertise.
• Experience with procurement of structural materials and BIM‑related tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work on‑site full time.

Required skills

• Advanced BIM authoring with Revit.
• ASD (Advanced Structural Design) tools.
• Coordination software such as Navisworks and BIM 360 (or similar).
• Structural design software.
