Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Optimize Design is seeking a full‑time Structural Design Engineer to join its on‑site team in 6th of October City. You will be responsible for the analysis and design of precast concrete elements, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for precast concrete systems.
• Develop and review structural drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
• Coordinate with BIM specialists to maintain clash‑free models and LOD500 deliverables.
• Prepare technical documentation, including calculations and design reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve structural issues and optimise designs for constructability and cost.
• Support quality checks, design revisions, and continuous improvement of design processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Structural analysis of precast concrete systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
• Experience working in BIM‑based project environments.
