Student Supervisor

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in 6-October, Egypt, is looking for a Student Supervisor within its Student Life and Student Management department. The role is responsible for the school's disciplinary issues and aims to maintain an environment with a limited number of infractions. It is a non-teaching position.

Key responsibilities

• Check corridors, bathrooms and classrooms before the school day starts to keep the environment clean, safe and well maintained.
• Coordinate the student line-up before, during and after recess with the SLO prefects to keep order and quiet.
• Manage travel time between classes so students move efficiently.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline and keep the environment quiet after breaks.
• Ensure students are in class on time before the day starts and after every recess.
• Motivate students to work hard during lessons.
• Enter accurate data into the SABIS School Management System (SSMS/SIS), including attendance and infraction reports.
• Contact and follow up with parents about student absences.
• Observe classes and promote a calm learning atmosphere.
• Keep the school safe, prevent bullying and fighting, and inform students of possible disciplinary actions such as classroom or after-school detention.
• Accompany students to the bus area after school and make sure each gets on their assigned bus.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions and teacher complaints, assist in exam hall supervision, and enforce safety rules.
• Attend weekly team meetings on student behaviour, promote the Student Life Code of Honor, and carry out other delegated tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Professional behaviour and ethical conduct.
• Ability to deliver results, continuous learning, accountability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Meets all employment requirements, including country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks and criminal background checks.
