Supervisor GL/Statutory

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Supervisor GL/Statutory to lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes for its UAE entities within the Shared Service Center. The role ensures the general ledger is complete, accurate, and closed on time while overseeing tax accounting and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close for UAE entities, ensuring the GL is complete and accurate.
• Own balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and clear reconciling items before each close.
• Prepare and review VAT, corporate tax and withholding tax computations, provisions and support timely filing.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and maintain audit files for assigned entities.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors on GL, statutory and tax matters.
• Supervise and develop the AP & Fixed Assets Senior Accountant.
• Maintain and improve close procedures, controls and documentation in the SSC.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in general ledger accounting, statutory reporting or tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical experience with month‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Experience dealing with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Prior supervisory or review experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
