Supervisor Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Government Relations (GR) Supervisor will lead all GR transactions for Talabat in Egypt, ensuring smooth interaction with government agencies and compliance with local regulations. You will act as the primary liaison between the company and authorities, supporting business growth across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regulatory guidance to Legal and business teams on licensing, procedures, and compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, district authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage end‑to‑end licensing activities across Egypt’s decentralized regulatory environment.
• Coordinate licensing applications for planning, building, civil defense, CCTV, traffic, health, food safety, environmental, and sewage authorities.
• Renew all company licenses, permits, and legal documents to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Handle corporate amendments (directors, shareholders, signatories) before the Commercial Registry.
• Support licensing for new store openings, relocations, and expansion projects.
• Monitor legislative changes and inform internal stakeholders of potential impacts.
• Maintain accurate records of all permits and manage government inspections and compliance assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or licensing within Egypt.
• Strong understanding of Egyptian municipal and national regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to handle multiple licensing processes simultaneously.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Egyptian licensing procedures for planning, building, civil defense, health, food safety, environmental, and traffic authorities.
• Ability to prepare and submit regulatory documentation.
• Proficiency in tracking legislative updates and assessing business impact.
