Supply Chain Head – Egypt

About the role

We are seeking a senior Supply Chain Head to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations in Egypt. The role reports to global/regional supply chain leadership and is responsible for aligning strategy with business objectives while ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies covering material handling, planning, customs, inventory and related functions.
• Design, implement and continuously improve material handling systems, driving automation, layout optimisation and safety.
• Lead supply planning to maintain optimal inventory, on‑time material availability and alignment with production and sales forecasts.
• Ensure full compliance with Egyptian import/export regulations and manage relationships with customs authorities and brokers.
• Define, monitor and improve key performance indicators such as OTIF, inventory turns and lead times, and champion cost‑saving initiatives.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing supply chain team, fostering accountability and innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or related field; MBA or postgraduate degree is a strong advantage.
• 15+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a multinational or industrial environment.
• Proven track record in material handling systems, supply planning and customs operations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

• Oracle ERP (or comparable enterprise resource planning system).
• Supply chain analytics and planning tools.
• Material handling system design and optimisation.
