Supply Chain Specialist – Materials Planning & Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Supply Chain Specialist to ensure uninterrupted material supply for our operations in Egypt. The role combines strategic planning, risk management and rapid shortage resolution while collaborating across commercial, engineering and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multiple data sources to anticipate supply risks and implement preventive actions.
• Lead resolution of raw‑material shortages in coordination with planners, procurement and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, balancing service level targets and inventory levels.
• Optimize inventory by managing safety stock, slow‑moving and obsolete items and driving write‑off mitigation.
• Coordinate with affiliates to ensure sustainable supply and capacity utilization, identifying constraints and mitigation plans.
• Partner with sales, customer service, planning, procurement and operations to support S&OP/IBP processes.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, including digitalisation and system optimisation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in supply‑chain or demand‑planning roles.
• Strong command of English.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑management experience.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
