Tax Section Head

About the role

EVA Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company recognized as a best place to work, is looking for an experienced Tax Section Head to lead its Tax Department. The role oversees all tax functions, ensures compliance with local and international tax laws, optimizes tax strategies and manages tax risks to support the company's financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the tax team, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee preparation and submission of all tax returns in line with local regulations and deadlines.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and cash flow.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax assessments.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of tax matters.
• Collaborate with finance and legal departments on business operations and projects from a tax perspective.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; advanced degree or professional tax qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in tax accounting and management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
• Experience managing tax teams and working with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems such as Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
