Teaching Assistant

About the role

The Teaching Assistant at Wise International School supports classroom teachers in delivering student‑centered lessons in a safe, inclusive environment. Based on the 6th of October campus, this full‑time, on‑site position focuses on reinforcing core subjects, especially mathematics, and fostering positive behaviour and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, reinforcing planned activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to learners, particularly in mathematics.
• Help administer and score assessments, and record student progress.
• Supervise students during class, breaks and school‑wide activities to ensure safety and order.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor academic progress and adapt support as needed.
• Maintain a tidy, well‑structured classroom environment in line with school policies and safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to assist classroom instruction and manage learner interactions.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, teachers and families.
• Interest in learner‑centred teaching methods and educational principles.
• Enthusiasm for working with children in a respectful, inclusive manner.
• Basic proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Competence in mathematics to support core academic activities.
• Basic classroom technology skills (e.g., using interactive whiteboards, educational software).
