Team Leader Design Architect

About the role

YBA Architects is seeking a Team Leader Design Architect to head a multidisciplinary design team in Cairo. You will drive innovative, sustainable architectural solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design team from concept through construction documentation and execution.
• Ensure designs are innovative, functional, and comply with client expectations, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Assign tasks, manage workloads, and monitor deadlines to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior architects, fostering professional growth.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to translate project goals into design solutions.
• Review and approve design work and technical drawings for accuracy and quality.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for efficient delivery.
• Conduct regular design reviews and present progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and architectural innovations.
• Resolve conflicts and address problems within the team and with external parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional architectural design experience.
• At least 2–3 years in a leadership or team‑management role.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and sustainable design.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑relationship skills.
