Technical Installation, Commissioning & Repair Engineer

About the role

The Technical Installation, Commissioning & Repair Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment. The role ensures that machines are correctly integrated mechanically, electrically and through software/control systems, and that they operate with optimal uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission new production equipment, covering mechanical, electrical and controls/software integration.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives and wiring.
• Configure, update and troubleshoot equipment software, firmware and control parameters.
• Coordinate with facilities and suppliers during equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) where required.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs and calibration records.
• Support root‑cause analysis for equipment downtime and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, commissioning or repair.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in power and control circuits, PLC/HMI systems.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and solve complex technical problems.
