Technical Lead - AI & Machine Learning

About the role

Arrow Electronics is looking for a Technical Lead for AI and Machine Learning in Cairo. You will deliver enterprise AI and machine learning solutions across intelligent products and internal automation platforms, working under the AI leadership team to turn strategic initiatives into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will lead a team of AI engineers and data scientists and guide them through the full machine learning lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of AI and machine learning initiatives aligned with the organization's AI strategy and roadmap, translating product and AI leadership vision into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, documentation and software design across AI projects, and work with product managers, software engineers and data engineers to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop and optimize machine learning, deep learning and neural network models, including predictive models, recommendation systems, forecasting, anomaly detection, classification and intelligent automation workflows.
• Fine-tune transformer models and other deep learning architectures with modern training techniques.
• Build applications using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, semantic search, embeddings and prompt engineering, and integrate LLMs with enterprise systems, vector databases and external tools.
• Evaluate new AI technologies and recommend practical adoption opportunities.
• Deploy and maintain AI models in production, ensuring they are reliable, secure, efficient and maintainable.
• Mentor AI engineers and junior machine learning engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, support technical interviews and onboarding, and stay current with AI developments.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience developing and deploying production AI and machine learning solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading the technical implementation of AI/ML projects.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related field.
• Preferred: experience deploying AI services on cloud platforms and familiarity with vector databases, search technologies and MLOps.
