Technical Procurement Team Leader

About the role

The Technical Procurement Team Leader will manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for construction projects, ensuring that materials, equipment and services are sourced, evaluated and purchased in line with project specifications and budgets. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in New Cairo and October and works closely with engineering, planning and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical documentation, drawings and specifications to define procurement requirements.
• Prepare requests for quotations, tenders and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and develop vendor relationships, monitor performance and ensure timely delivery.
• Track procurement schedules, manage purchase orders and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Prepare regular reports, forecasts and cost analyses for project and senior management.
• Lead, mentor and coach the procurement team, driving process improvements and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong technical procurement experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Proven ability to read drawings, interpret specifications and align purchases with bill of quantities.
• Experience leading or supervising a procurement team, including workload planning and performance monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, cost‑control and budgeting capabilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
