Technical Support Engineer – After‑Sales Service & Application Support

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our After‑Sales Service & Application Support team in North Africa. You will ensure customer satisfaction by delivering on‑site installation, maintenance, and technical assistance for materials testing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of testing machines at customer sites.
• Conduct preventive‑maintenance visits to guarantee equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
• Provide application support, advising customers on optimal use of Instron products, accessories, and software.
• Deliver hands‑on training sessions and guide clients in setting up testing configurations.
• Maintain strong, long‑term relationships as the primary point of contact for after‑sales inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in technical support, field service engineering, or application support, preferably with materials testing or industrial equipment.
• Willingness to travel across North Africa for on‑site service.
• Proficiency in English and French or Arabic.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of materials testing equipment.
• Familiarity with Instron products and associated software.
• Installation, calibration, and preventive‑maintenance expertise.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
