Technology Auditor

About the role

The Technology Auditor will lead and execute audits of the bank’s technology environment, including IT general controls, cybersecurity, data management and core banking applications. The role supports AAIB’s risk‑based audit plan and helps strengthen the institution’s technology control posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of ITGCs, ITACs, IT infrastructure, security, cybersecurity and data management processes.
• Analyse process flows, identify missing controls and test the design and operating effectiveness of automated and manual controls.
• Apply professional judgment to evaluate evidence, interpret policies and assess process risks.
• Identify control weaknesses, analyse root causes and recommend remediation measures.
• Monitor emerging risks related to AI, cloud computing, digital banking channels and information security.
• Assist in reviewing cybersecurity frameworks, incident response, access controls and penetration testing.
• Prepare detailed audit working papers and reports using Teammate+ and ensure alignment with audit methodology.
• Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security and other technology teams to discuss findings and support risk mitigation.
• Utilise data‑analytics tools such as Teammate Analytics and Power BI to enhance audit depth and efficiency.
• Participate in agile audit engagements, stakeholder interactions and follow‑up processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technology audit or related assurance functions.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) required; additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CIA or advanced data‑analytics credentials are a plus.
