Telephone Sales Consultant (Retail)

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation is seeking a motivated Telephone Sales Consultant to promote its training academy programs to individual learners. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, guiding prospects through the enrollment process, and building lasting relationships that drive repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential individuals for the academy’s training programs.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
• Research prospective students to understand their specific training and development needs.
• Deliver presentations and demonstrations that showcase how the programs meet those needs.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, and close sales successfully.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure program delivery exceeds expectations.
• Meet and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and performance metrics set by the Team Leader.
• Provide post‑sales support, handle class coordination, and respond to student queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in training or education.
• Strong knowledge of training and development programs and their impact.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.

Required skills

• Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
