Telephone Sales Consultant – Retail

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation is seeking a motivated Telephone Sales Consultant to promote its training academy programs to individual learners. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships, and guiding prospects through the enrollment process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential individuals for the training academy’s programs.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
• Research prospective students to understand their training and development needs.
• Develop strong relationships with learners to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Deliver presentations and demonstrations of program offerings, highlighting relevance to each prospect.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, and close sales successfully.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure program delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets, revenue goals, and performance metrics set by the Team Leader.
• Provide post‑sales support, handling queries and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education or a related field.
• 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in training, education or related sectors.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and events as needed.
