Transportation Assistant Analyst

About the role

This position coordinates daily transportation operations between carriers and warehouses, ensuring orders are executed efficiently, costs are controlled, and service performance meets expectations. The analyst works closely with planning, customer service, and logistics teams to maintain smooth end‑to‑end delivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily interactions with third‑party transport providers and warehouses, receiving orders from planning teams and communicating them via the appropriate systems.
• Monitor order execution, provide shipment notifications, and resolve operational issues to guarantee service continuity.
• Prepare transportation forecasts, shipment schedules, and oversee warehouse slot bookings and capacity planning.
• Track inbound transportation KPIs such as on‑time delivery, carrier acceptance, and ad‑hoc requests.
• Handle delivery issues, refusals, and escalations with carriers and warehouses.
• Maintain carrier cost data, process claims, and support planning and customer service teams in issue resolution.
• Coordinate returns, refusals, and other transportation exceptions.
• Create and manage purchase orders for logistics service providers, process invoices, and resolve billing discrepancies.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French (C1 level, written and spoken).
• Minimum two years of experience in logistics operations, stakeholder management, and coordination with carriers and warehouses.
• Knowledge of stock planning, inventory management, and MRP systems (preferably SAP).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to drive problem‑resolution across disparate groups.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of gTMS (transport management system).
• Experience with MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in Power Apps and Power BI or similar reporting dashboards.
• Advanced skills in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
