Transportation Senior Specialist

About the role

The Transportation Senior Specialist oversees the employee shuttle bus programme, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective commuting for staff across multiple shifts and locations. The role combines route optimisation, vendor management and real‑time operational oversight to support business continuity and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously optimise shuttle routes and schedules based on employee density, shift patterns and geography.
• Manage relationships with transport service providers, enforcing SLAs and safety standards.
• Supervise daily shuttle operations, monitor vehicle arrivals/departures and resolve delays or breakdowns.
• Conduct regular fleet inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety and maintenance compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for employee queries, feedback and complaints, implementing corrective actions.
• Review monthly invoices, verify accuracy and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain an emergency contingency plan, including backup vehicle arrangements.
• Utilise transport management tools to track ridership, driver behaviour and automate seat booking.
• Collaborate with department heads to adjust schedules according to shifting operational needs.
• Prepare periodic reports on ridership trends, vendor performance and total spend.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in corporate transportation, fleet management or logistics, preferably in the Middle East.
• Experience managing large‑scale shuttle operations for high‑headcount organisations.
• Strong organisational, planning and vendor‑negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve logistical conflicts quickly.
