Troubleshooter Engineer – Rail Systems

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Troubleshooter Engineer to join its Cairo team. You will apply your technical troubleshooting expertise to ensure the availability and reliability of Alstom trains at customer sites, working closely with warranty, project and subcontractor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out troubleshooting, investigations and repairs during PI, pre‑warranty and commissioning phases.
• Plan and execute fleet checks and preventive maintenance activities.
• Document deviations and failures in the failure‑management database.
• Support the operation helpdesk and manage shift‑handovers.
• Perform test procedures, failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead troubleshooting and preventive‑maintenance teams when required.
• Contribute to field modifications and technical investigations.
• Provide technical feedback to improve customer satisfaction and product performance.

Required profile

• Certified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum three years of field experience in railway or rolling‑stock environments.
• Ability to read pneumatic and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Familiarity with EHS standards and processes.
• High level of English proficiency (desirable).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
