Upholsterer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to repair, restore and maintain fabric‑covered furniture, draperies and soft furnishings throughout guest rooms and public areas of our luxury resort in Safaga, Egypt. The role ensures a high standard of comfort and appearance for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a sewing machine to seam cushions and join covering materials.
• Repair seats, sofas, curtains, carpets and mattresses.
• Gather and assemble specified upholstery materials and accessories.
• Keep the upholstery workshop tidy, clean and well‑organized.
• Maintain inventory records of stored upholstery items and sewing accessories.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal condition.
• Ensure correct fabric materials are used for each upholstery project.
• Support the upkeep of upholstered furnishings in all outlets, lobbies, corridors and guestrooms.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in upholstery or a similar role, preferably within an international luxury five‑star hotel.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating sewing machines for upholstery work.
• Knowledge of fabric selection and material handling for accurate upholstery production.
