Utilities Engineer – Facility Operations & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Utilities Engineer to manage and optimise critical utility systems such as HVAC, purified water, WFI, air compressors, generators and incinerators. The role ensures daily operation, preventive maintenance and regulatory compliance within a pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, record and optimise performance of all utility equipment while adhering to GMP and safety regulations.
• Lead mechanical and electrical repairs, plan preventive maintenance and resolve equipment failures promptly.
• Prepare SOPs, AutoCAD drawings, spare‑parts lists and corrective‑action reports to satisfy internal audits and regulatory requirements.
• Assign tasks to technicians, supervise execution and manage resource allocation.
• Implement and improve the Energy Management System (EnMS) and uphold QHSE policies.
• Develop action plans to boost energy efficiency, system reliability and overall operational performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in utilities operations, preferably in pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
