Utility Engineer - Glass Manufacturing

About the role

The Utility Engineer will be responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of utility equipment in a glass manufacturing environment. Reporting to plant management, the role ensures that all utility systems function according to specifications and supports continuous improvement of processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise utility operators in the operation and maintenance of utilities equipment.
• Monitor production processes to verify that machines and equipment meet required specifications.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for all utility assets.
• Investigate equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret data to troubleshoot operational and maintenance issues.
• Prepare and manage spare parts inventories for utility equipment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures for existing and new equipment.
• Select appropriate tools, equipment, and technologies for operational and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in utilities or industrial maintenance.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using AutoCAD; SolidWorks preferred.
