Virtual Medical Assistant – Night Shift (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to support a high‑volume multispecialty clinic from home during night hours. The role focuses on chart preparation, insurance verification, patient communication, and coordination of daily schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and identify potential issues using portals and manual methods.
• Inform patients of financial responsibility, coverage status, and required items.
• Ensure referrals, authorizations, and required documentation are complete and accurate.
• Communicate with insurance providers and primary‑care offices to obtain necessary information.
• Make outbound calls for appointment confirmations, follow‑ups, and scheduling updates.
• Manage add‑on appointments while maintaining workflow efficiency.
• Notify patients and clinic staff of delays, requirements, or coverage concerns.

Required profile

• Experience in US healthcare, including medical office support, insurance verification, prior authorization, and referral processes.
• Proficiency with any EMR system.
• Strong understanding of US insurance plans and verification workflows.
• Excellent communication, organization, multitasking abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ability to work night‑time from home.
