Warehouse Manager – Shipyard Operations

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead all warehouse activities at Red Sea Shipyard, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials that support shipbuilding and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, inspection, identification, storage, and issue of raw materials, steel products, spare parts, equipment, tools and consumables.
• Develop and enforce warehouse procedures, inventory control systems and stock‑level policies.
• Conduct regular physical counts, reconcile inventory records and monitor slow‑moving, obsolete or excess stock.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, Production, Maintenance, Finance and other departments to guarantee timely material availability.
• Implement material coding, traceability and safe handling practices.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, monitor performance and produce KPI reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Continuously improve processes to minimize losses and optimise storage capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control or material management.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a warehouse setting, preferably within marine, shipbuilding, construction or heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, material control, stock reconciliation and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Ability to operate inventory control systems.
