Warehouse Operator / Material Handler III

About the role

Under limited supervision, the Material Handler III works independently to plan and build loads on flat‑bed trailers and in weld bays, ensuring safe transportation and efficient downstream processing. The role involves operating various material‑handling equipment and positioning trailers in the yard and loading areas.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and build loads of materials onto flat‑bed trailers for safe over‑the‑road transport (≈70%).
• Position flat‑bed trailers and arrange material in the yard, loading bays and staging areas (≈10%).
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and corrective‑action activities (≈10%).
• Complete required paperwork, scanning and documentation (≈5%).
• Perform housekeeping, 5‑S and other assigned duties (≈5%).

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with advanced judgment to calculate product fit and select appropriate lifting devices.
• Experience operating forklift, side‑loader, combi‑lift, overhead crane and yard spotter truck.
• Commitment to safety, environmental, quality and Zero Harm/Zero Defects policies.
• Willingness to use computers, scanners and tablets for transaction processing.
