Warehouse Section Head

About the role

The Warehouse Section Head leads the daily operations of a designated warehouse area within a chemical manufacturing environment. This position ensures safe storage of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities for the assigned section.
• Ensure chemicals are stored and handled according to safety regulations.
• Maintain precise inventory records and transaction logs using ERP systems.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics teams to meet operational demands.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, excesses, or slow‑moving items.
• Lead and mentor warehouse supervisors and staff within the section.
• Participate in stock counts, cycle counts, and investigate inventory variances.
• Prepare reports on inventory accuracy and warehouse performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in chemical or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of chemical storage safety standards and inventory control processes.
• Proven supervisory and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or similar.
• Proficiency in inventory control systems.
