Web Engineer – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

ABYAT is looking for a Website Development Engineer to design, build and maintain customer‑facing digital solutions that power its e‑commerce experience. The position is fully remote and full‑time, offering the chance to work on a large retail platform serving the Middle East market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new website features and functionality based on business and customer requirements.
• Translate functional specifications into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test and deploy front‑end and back‑end components of web applications.
• Build responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Implement and maintain backend services with Java and Spring Boot, including APIs, business logic and data‑access layers.
• Collaborate on end‑to‑end solutions across application, database and cloud layers.
• Analyze existing functionality and enhance performance, reliability and user experience.
• Refactor codebases to uphold quality standards and improve scalability.
