Windows and Domain Service Senior Officer

About the role

The Windows and Domain Service Senior Officer is responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of the organization’s server and desktop operating environments. This role provides a stable foundation for business applications and services while leading a team of OS administrators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee patch management, upgrades, and routine maintenance to keep systems current and secure.
• Implement and manage the strategy for Windows server, desktop, and virtual operating systems.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.
• Manage operating system security, protecting against vulnerabilities and threats.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams for seamless integration.
• Provide guidance to IT support teams on complex OS issues.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of OS administrators and engineers.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans for operating systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing IT operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
