Windows Support Expert

About the role

The Windows Support Expert will own and lead the design, administration, stability, and continuous improvement of Windows‑based infrastructure and end‑user virtualization platforms. This role requires deep hands‑on technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor engineers while ensuring secure, highly available services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead administration and advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server environments, including production and disaster‑recovery sites.
• Own Active Directory services, GPO design, domain hardening, FSMO roles, trust relationships, and DNS health.
• Administer and support Exchange Online and Exchange Edge servers, handling mail flow, connectors, transport rules, and security.
• Design, implement, and manage Windows Failover Clustering and SQL Server high‑availability solutions.
• Maintain IIS‑hosted applications, ensuring performance and incident resolution.
• Provide operational support for Citrix CVAD (Virtual Apps & Desktops) environments.
• Lead Windows patching strategy, remediate security vulnerabilities, and promote automation.
• Act as technical leader, mentor junior engineers, produce documentation, and participate in architecture reviews and DR drills.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in Windows Server administration.
• Advanced expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Solid experience with Exchange Online and Exchange Edge.
• Proven experience with Windows Failover Clustering and SQL Server HA solutions.
• Experience supporting IIS applications and Citrix CVAD environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams.
