Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor ensures that every vehicle leaving the workshop meets the highest quality standards, enhances the company’s reputation, and delivers an outstanding customer experience. This role coordinates resources, leads service teams, and maintains a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Service Manager to propose improvements and boost workshop performance.
• Verify vehicle condition during maintenance, guarantee top‑quality repairs, and meet promised deadlines.
• Lead, motivate, and train auto technicians, planning development programs for the service team.
• Manage communication between the workshop, reception, and other departments.
• Plan daily workloads, allocate work orders based on technician expertise, and monitor repair progress.
• Provide technical support to Service Advisors and technicians during diagnostics.
• Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of equipment and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in services and maintenance management, with at least 2‑3 years in a managerial role within a large‑scale bodyshop or similar environment.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team‑building skills.
• Analytical capability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Adaptability to new technologies and process improvements.

Required skills

• Automotive repair and maintenance expertise.
• In‑depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using SAP.
• Familiarity with lean management principles and Six Sigma methodology.
