World History Teacher (2026-2027)

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for an enthusiastic World History Teacher to join the faculty for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will inspire high‑school students to explore global historical events and develop critical analytical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering a wide range of world‑history topics aligned with the British curriculum.
• Employ diverse teaching methods to engage students and foster critical analysis of historical events and their modern relevance.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, discussion, and respect for diverse perspectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary themes and enrich the learning experience.
• Organise and participate in extracurricular activities such as history clubs, debates, and cultural events.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
• Commit to continuous professional development and stay updated on pedagogical advances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferably within the British curriculum or an international school setting.
• Strong expertise in world‑history content and the ability to make concepts relevant for secondary students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Innovative, student‑centred teaching approach that accommodates diverse learning needs.
• Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE) is an advantage.
