Accountant – Full-time, Cairo

About the role

Al Sharkawy Advanced Systems is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join its finance team in Cairo. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the company’s construction and engineering projects by ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices, and track expenses.
• Assist with budgeting, month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records and collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, and vendors.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and journal entry processing.
• Experience with AP/AR, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and basic analysis.
• Understanding of local accounting standards and tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent numerical accuracy and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work in a structured team environment.
